In Ranca or outside, closest to us is Bansko, Bulgaria where prices are well below those in Romania, ski conditions/snowboarding are excelente.

Pentru Austria nearest us is Kaprun (Kitzsteinhorn area) over 3000m altitude , snow currently being 110 cm and for lovers of freeride/freestyle my recommendation is Solden, south of Innsbruck, is over 3300 m altitude, fresh snow at the moment you touch down cm.

We occupied two apartments with 2 rooms and stayed in room 2 each, in very good conditions.compare this price with those of Straja and Ranca, not to mention that the Prahova Valley and Poiana Brasov.
